Destination Southern Highlands in conjunction with Southern Highlands Food & Wine will launch this exciting festival on the 26 February 2014. Designed to showcase the Highlands as a key food and wine destination, the festival will run until 23 March 2014.
WINE TIME commences with the Dan Murphy Australian Highlands Wine Show on 26 and 27 February (the third annual national wine show for wines produced from grapes grown in Australia at an altitude of over 500 meters), and the inaugural Australian Cider Awards, a new national competition for Australian ciders, on 28 February,
On 9 March, the Southern Highlands will welcome Australia’s leading wine and travel writers for Wine & Wickets. Hosted by the Bradman International Cricket Hall of Fame, the event will be played at Bradman Oval.
And guaranteed to become hugely popular, the Australian Highlands Wine Show Top 40 Public Tasting will take centre stage at Bowral Memorial Hall on Saturday 15 March. This event will include tastings of all the Dan Murphy Australian Highland Wine Show award winners, plus the chance to meet the wine makers and sample delicious canapés featuring local produce.
Other exciting events and displays are in the pipeline, and special accommodation packages will be available for visitors wanting to stay for a weekend or longer.
